Stay with Nepali family in Kathmandu

A typical Nepali day begins with cleaning the house by the elders such as grand mother/mother or elder sisters now lost in many homes in western society. Age is revered in Nepal Imagine going to local market with a big bag to shop vegetables and other groceries of the day with a 70 year old grandmother or a 10 year old son of the family. or attending a typical Nepalese wedding ceremony which is very different to other cultures. Most Nepalese families allow and appreciate a helping hand in the kitchen, so be careful you may end up a good Nepali cook. This is not a business for us, we simply enjoy sharing life’s experiences with others where we can all learn from each other. There will be a small charge of US $ 10 .00 To $20.00 per person per day which includes breakfast ( i.e. Bread , Eggs , Rice pudding , Tea, Coffee etc ) and excludes a Nepali dinner ( Veg. curry, Boiled rice, Pickle, Dal soup, Chicken curry etc ) You can stay as long as you want.

We use 4 rooms & 2 bath rooms sharing with double & single beds are available, the resident family uses another 5 rooms. Kathmandu city map are available in Free.

Host family made me feel very welcome

Host family made me feel very welcome - it was wonderful meeting Nima and his family. The house has a lovely homely feeling, and met and shared with other guests. Nima helped me sort out a local sim for my phone and organised a cab for me - making my arrival to Nepal very smooth. I will defiantly be staying again 🙂 gemma

Nima and his family were extremely hospitable, and their place was nicely situated right outside of the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu, with views of the city and hills. Nima helped my cab driver find the house without a problem, and I was welcomed with warm tea and wonderful home cooked meals. Nima also took me on a hike and showed me around the local monasteries (with some beautiful girlfriends of his.. added bonus ;)). I was also able to arrange a private flight past Everest, with ease and for a great price. Nima and his parents are very warm and good hearted people. I would highly recommend his place, meals, and trekking adventures. Looking forward to staying again when I trekk to base camp Everest!- Nayson

My first experience with AirBnB was impressive and satisfying. We stayed at Nepal Trekking - Friendship Homestay for three days during my first trip to Nepal. Staying with Nima and his family was a great experience and they treated us really well. We were treated to traditional Nepali food for dinner and breakfast. They accommodated our needs well. Nima had also arranged for our mountain flights and Pokhara trip. He was friendly and made sure that we had a great stay. I recommend anyone going to Nepal to stay at this place.- Padmaja
